Jonathon Karelse's Bio:
Jonathon Karelse is a co-founding partner of NorthFind Partners, a global management consultancy based in Vancouver, Canada. NorthFind Partners is focused on operations and supply chain management, and works to enable value-chain transparency, goal alignment, and actionable analysis for its clients. The company also specializes in demand planning, as well as sales and marketing strategies. NorthFind Partners' clients work in varied multi-billion dollar industries — including aerospace, cosmetics, electronics, transportation products, the chemical industry, and heavy equipment manufacturers.
Jonathon Karelse graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Sloan School of Business in 2008. He is also a graduate of the University of British Columbia and the University of Western Ontario.
After completing his education, Jonathon spent six years at Yokohama Tire Canada where he was responsible for sales, marketing, and strategic planning, and oversaw the complete portfolio of sales, marketing, and system management for the corporation. While at Yokohama Tire Canada, brand awareness grew by 10%, with the company successfully establishing one of the most active social media platforms of any Canadian-based tire manufacturer.
During his time at Yokohama Tire Canada, Jonathon also served as the chairman of the statistics and forecasting committee of the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada. His responsibilities as chairman included aligning the efforts of delegates from many competing tire manufacturers, and producing accurate, relevant forecasts and research.
Jonathon also gained experience as the Vice President for Strategic Planning and Corporate Development for Wholesale Tire Distributors in Toronto, where he was responsible for the creation and direction of their sales, marketing, and operations departments. He also developed supplier partnerships with companies such as Continental Tire, Hankook, Pirelli, GoodYear and Yokohama in that position.
In addition to his current responsibilities at NorthFind Partners, Jonathon Karelse serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for Factors Group of Companies, a health and nutrition firm and manufacturer of nutritional supplements and other health-building products in Vancouver. Jonathon is also currently the Chair of the Governance Committee for the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, which works to the improve the health of the tri-cities community. In addition, he is a proud partner at Mariner Brewing Company in Coquitlam, Canada.
Jonathon has been recognized by the Institute of Business and Forecasting & Planning (IBF) and APICS (Advanced Supply Chain Certification Program) as a leader in demand planning and forecasting. Jonathon has a considerable background in strategic planning and a substantial skill set with change management and governance in companies and organizations of various sizes.
